Nice job with the storm coverage, Dan. I'm in Connecticut but have family in Fredericksburg. It was great to be able to keep up with the situation there through the Patch. Thanks.

From City: City of Fredericksburg residents may place moderate quantities of tree debris from the recent storms at the curb (or shoulder) for collection by Public Works crews, at no charge, until Sunday, July 15. Residents who are removing entire trees or large portions thereof should not place large sections of those trees or the stumps at the curb. Residents are asked to be careful not to place materials where they block sidewalks, fire hydrants or drainage inlets. Residents also should not mix any other materials with the tree debris. Tree debris will NOT be collected during regularly scheduled trash collections. Residents may arrange for special collection of small quantities of debris placed out after July 15 (special collection fees will apply) by contacting the Department of Public Works at 372-1023, 815am-430pm, Monday-Friday.
