Armed Robbery at Gulf Station

The owner of the Plank Road service station was robbed at gunpoint Sunday.

 

The owner of the Gulf Service Station at 2120 Plank Road was robbed at gunpoint at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, according to City of Fredericksburg Police.

The victim said a male subject walked to the counter, pulled out a gun and demanded money from the cash register. 

The victim turned over a quantity of cash, and the suspect ran from the scene in the direction of the stores located behind the business.

A K-9 from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office responded to the area, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a white male approximately 6-feet-tall, wearing a brown hoodie pulled up to conceal his face and khaki cargo pants. The investigation is ongoing.
