Arrest Made for Intent to Distribute Narcotics

Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

While pursuing a man on a probation violation, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputy M. Buccola made a discovery leading to a narcotics arrest.

On Tuesday morning, Buccola located Christopher Perry Paterson, a 49-year-old white male from Waldorf, Md., in a room at the Econo Lodge at 5321 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Buccola was wanted on a Fairfax probation violation.

Jerritt Pace, a 31-year-old white male from Fort Belvoir, was also in the room.  Pace claimed possession of drug paraphernalia Buccola noticed lying around the room. The paraphernalia included needles and empty prescription bottles, at least one of which was empty, but had been filled only four days earlier.  Further investigation led Deputy Buccola to believe Pace was selling his prescription.

Pace was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with the intent to distribute narcotics.

Paterson was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant from Fairfax.
