AT&T Sponsors UMW Leadership Program

Company to donat $25,000 to program to help at risk populations work towards college graduation.

The University of Mary Washington will launch a new leadership program during an event with Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegate William J. Howell and Mary Washington President Richard V. Hurley. The event, which begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at Jepson Alumni Executive Center, will feature a check presentation of $25,000 from AT&T.

The student leadership program is created, in part, with support from AT&T. The Student Leadership Colloquium will feature a series of classroom and experiential learning opportunities for student leaders, specifically targeting under-represented populations, students at-risk of completing their degree and first-year students.
