Brain Food: Recipes for a Healthy Lifestyle
A cooking demonstration and presentation about how good food choices and a doctor’s care can ease insomnia, headaches and dementia.
The Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) Neuroscience Center of Excellence is hosting Brain Food: Recipes for a Healthy Lifestyle, a free seminar and cooking demo on March 26.
Neurologist Dr. Maha Alattar, M.D. will share the latest about insomnia, headaches and dementia -- and how good food choices and a doctor’s care can ease common neurological ailments.
The cooking demonstrations by professional chefs begins at 5:30 p.m. Guests can chat with a registered dietitian about making the most of every bite, sample brain-healthy foods and collect easy-to-follow recipe cards and other giveaways.
The keynote by Maha Alattar, M.D. begins at 6:30 p.m.

I like that they have a professional dietitian there to help direct and educate peoples perspective on eating habits. Being a big cook myself I would be interested in their recipes that they are giving out. I currently use an app called recipes by ingredients and search under healthy food.
