Police have determined the Nov. 20 robbery of a homeless man on the canal path did NOT occur, said Natatia Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department Public Information Officer, in a press release.

Investigators are no longer seeking information concerning the three described suspects in this incident.

Due to mitigating circumstances involving the alleged victim and after consultation with the Commonwealth’s Attorney, investigators will not be seeking charges against the individual who reported this event, Bledsoe said.
