The thunderstorms headed toward Fredericksburg have prompted local school sports teams to cancel their games.
Spotsylvania County:
- Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation has canceled all youth football, cheerleading, and soccer games for tonight.
- From Spotsylvania County Schools: "All after school activities are canceled for today, Sept. 18, due to impending severe weather. This would include any games, practices,or meetings that were scheduled for after school today. Activity buses are canceled as well."
Fredericksburg:
- All Walker Grant Middle School after school activities have been canceled.
- Fred parks and rec soccer, field hockey and football for Tuesday have been canceled.
