Food Donations Pay Fines at Central Rappahannock Libraries

The Teen Read Week food drive runs Oct. 14 - 20, 2012.

The Central Rappahannock Regional Libraries are celebrating Teen Read Week Oct. 14 - 20 with a Food for Fines event.

Every canned good brought to your local library branch is worth $1 off your overdue fees, up to a maximum of $10 per patron account. "Donations may not be used to pay for lost or damaged library materials," said library staff.  Please do not bring dented or expired canned goods.

The Central Rappahannock Regional Library system consists of 8 branches in the City of Fredericksburg and in Spotsylvania, Stafford and Westmoreland counties.  The library system serves an area of 914 square miles in Virginia.

All canned good donations benefit local area food banks. No donations will be accepted after Oct. 20.
