Three men chased down a purse snatcher outside Walmart in Central Park Thurday night.

Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said Timothy Finney, 18, of King George, was charged with grand larceny and remains in jail on a $1,500 bond. She said that a witness called 911 after she saw a man steal a purse from the shopping cart of a patron who was loading groceries into her car in the parking lot. Three men heard the victim shouting and chased after the suspect. They caught the purse snatcher by Bank of America and detained him on the ground until city police officers took control of the situation.

The victim got back her purse and all of its contents.
