The James Monroe High School athletic department will recognize the 1987 State AA champion football team on Oct. 5.
A notice on the school's website said that "all players are invited to the team meal on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the James Monroe Commons."
The school said recognition of the anniversary will take place during halftime of the James Monroe and King George Game at Maury Stadium.
