Matt Kelly Announces Council Bid On Facebook
Former council member Matt Kelly took to social networks to announce his candidacy for city Council.
Matt Kelly announced his campaign for City Council on Facebook and Fredericksburg Patch yesterday.
Kelly served on council for two terms starting in 2002. He represented the third ward and was one of the more vocal members on council. He remained civicly active and has regularly protested the city's handling of the incentives program and the $38 million courthouse project. He owns P&C Adjusting.
This is one of three seats up for election May 1, including the mayor's spot.
The current Ward 3 councilman, Fred Howe, is running for mayor against Vice Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw and a 23-year-old former grocery store employee and current small-busienss owner Ryan Bullock.

I am so glad to see Matt Kelly running again. His use of social networks goes to show the kind of representation he brings, engaging the people, finding solutions and solving problems in a manner that helps move our City forward!
