Miso Asian Grill and Sushi Bar
Awesome Eats visits Miso's this time around and the basil chicken was a hit.
Me-So hungry when I arrived, and Me-So full when I left. OK, a (bad) play on words I know, but I can’t help saying it to everyone within earshot. Miso corny!
When we asked David, the assistant manager at Miso’s Asian Grill and Sushi Bar, what was their Awesome Eats that they would offer to put up against the "Top Chef" dishes, he humbly exclaimed the Basil Chicken.
“Our chef uses fresh chopped basil and seasonal vegetables kissed with his special Thai sauce," he said. "It cooks very quickly in a super hot wok so that the flavors are sealed in and the freshness explodes in your mouth.”
The chef is Eric Zhu and the assistant manager caled him a "secret component to our success."
Upon tasting the Basil Chicken, we noticed that the fresh basil is begging your hand to drop the chop sticks and grab a real fork for shoveling at a faster rate to your mouth. The basil does not overpower the chicken, but it enhances the chicken and the entire dish. Just smelling the dish on the table under your nose makes your mouth start to water.
Halfway through eating the Basil Chicken, a second Awesome Eats plate was presented with pride.
“Minderaser is a very, very, popular and most requested” said David. “A sliced tomato is laid onto a fresh-made sauce and fresh Yellow Tail is wrapped around spicy crab then topped with jalapeno and a second sauce. The sauce is so popular the customer uses it for dipping everything.”
I would report to you my opinion of this roll except my mind was erased after consuming it, but I bet it was pretty good.
Miso’s has been in business at 1305 Jefferson Davis Hwy. for a little over two years and has built a loyal following because of the Thai cuisine and other cooked entrees, as well as catering to the Sushi and Sashimi lovers. Modern Asian Cuisine never tasted so good.
If you go, tell Miso you are there for their for Awesome Eats that you read about on Fredericksburg Patch.

Geez! The Me-so pun was in bad taste. Simply Linsane! I would plead Linsanity and ask for forgiveness. (joke) BTW - great food and people!
