Police Release Sketch of Attempted Abduction Suspect

The incident happened Aug. 11 on Highland Road in the Westmont subdivision in Fredericksburg.

 

Fredericksburg police are hoping that a composite sketch of an attempted abduction suspect help them catch him.

The attempted abduction happened shortly after 8 a.m. Aug. 11 on Highland Road in the Westmont subdivision. The suspect approached a female jogger and tried to pull her into his older four-door white vehicle that had a red cloth interior. The victim broke free and ran away.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 50s with a stocky build, dark skin, short dark hair and an unshaven face. He also had gray hairs in his facial hair, in his eyebrows, and in the hair on his head. The victim stated that the suspect had bad teeth and spoke limited and heavily accented English.
