The Fauquier Sheriff's Office and Fredericksburg Police Department are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of John Wesley Jeffries, according to Natatia Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department spokesperson.
Jeffries is considered a person of interest in a double homicide of an elderly couple Sunday near The Plains. A vehicle belonging to the homicide victims was located Sunday in the 1700 block of Lafayette Blvd. by Fredericksburg officers who were searching for Jeffries based on information broadcast in a law enforcement bulletin from Fauquier Sheriff's Office, Bledsoe said.
John Jeffries' last known address was in Fredericksburg. City police have been looking for Jeffries for several days, as he has warrants already pending from Spotsylvania charging him with malicious wounding and felony strangulation for an incident that occurred in the county.
