Report Leads Police to Connect BB Gun Cases
Police have identified a teenager allegedly involved in a BB gun incident from Sept. 4.
Reports of a male shooting a BB gun in a wooded area in the 1200 block of Townsend Boulevard at 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 6 led Fredericksburg police to make a connection to the BB gun incident reported at Fredericksburg Christian School.
Police reports said a 17-year-old male was found shooting at bottles when he was taken into custody without incident.
"The male was positively identified as the person who was shooting a BB gun behind the Fredericksburg Christian School on Sept. 4," said police reports. "The BB gun was seized as evidence and the juvenile was turned over to a family member with a referral to juvenile intake authorities. "
The report of teenagers shooting "BB or pellet guns" toward an area where parents were waiting to pick up children from the school prompted the lockdown of Fredericksburg Christian School, Walker Grant Middle School, and Lafayette Upper Elementary on Sept. 4.
