Residents Fill 9 Cruisers with Holiday Gifts
Sheriff Roger Harris called the outpouring of donations 'monumental.'
Area residents filled more than nine police cruisers with gifts Dec. 1 during the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office 'Stuff-a-Cruiser' holiday event.
Sheriff's Office staff were at Spotsylvania Towne Center and Spotsylvania Walmart Saturday, and the public stopped by the parked cruisers and donated cash, gloves, coats, hats, toys, food and more.
"The generosity and outpouring from the citizens of Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg was monumental," Sheriff Roger Harris said.
The donations will be distributed to needy families in the area for the holidays.

Hope the victims of this mornings house fire will also receive an outpouring of love & support from the community & all who can help during this holiday season. This lovely family was spared their lives but lost the home everything in it in the 4am fire this morning on Lovett Drive (Fredericksburg). I have seen or heard nothing about it here on Patch. PLEASE REACH OUT!
