Retailers Eyeing Shoppers Warehouse Will Open At Potomac Mills, Too
buybuy BABY and Christmas Tree Shops plan to open anchor stores at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge next year. They both have submitted plans with the city to occupy the vacant Shoppers Food and Pharmacy building in Central Park.
Two retail stores that could occupy the vacant Shoppers Food and Pharmacy building in Central Park will also have stores in Potomac Mills, the largest discount outlet shopping center in Virginia in Woodbridge.
The Christmas Tree Shops and buybuy Baby both have submitted architectural renderings with Fredericksburg's building officials to split the 80,000-square-foot building in Central Park, one of the city's largest vacant buildings in the shopping mecca.
According to Woodbridge Patch, Potomac Mills will undergo major exterior changes and add new retail and restaurants, including The Cheesecake Factory and Bobby Flay's burger joint Bobby's Burger Palace. The Christmas Tree Shops and buybuy Baby will become new anchors for the expansion as the mall moves Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th.
The exterior renovation is scheduled to be finished before winter.
“Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH has been a proud anchor in the Potomac Mills shopping center for nearly 20 years,“ said Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th President Robert Wallstrom in a prepared statement. “Our new location within the center will allow us to provide customers in the surrounding Washington, D.C., community with our innovative ‘luxury in a loft’ store design, which has set a new standard in outlet shopping.“
buybuy BABY sells furniture, clothing, toys and other items geared for babies, and children. Christmas Tree Shops sells home decor, giftware, housewares and seasonal products. These stores plan to open in Potomac Mills in late 2013.
