Spotsylvania Man Charged In Southpoint Walmart Robbery Attempt
A sheriff's deputy found the suspect hiding in the woods.
A 22-year-old Spotsylvania County man is in jail on a charge of attempted robbery after an incident at the Southpoint Walmart on Sunday.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mike Harvey said deputies responded at about 10:30 p.m. to the Walmart at 10001 Southpoint Pkwy. and got a description of the suspect. He said Deputy Myrick arrived with his police dog and was able to locate the suspect hiding in the woods between the Walmart and Lowes.
"The suspect entered the store and approached an employee exiting the cash room and handed the clerk a note telling him to open the door so he could get the cash," Harvey said. "The clerk refused and the suspect demanded the clerk open the door implying he had a weapon, but never displayed one. The clerk called the manager and loss prevention at which point the suspect fled the store without obtaining any cash."
Harvey said deputies found a BB pistol near where the suspect was hiding in the woods.
Joshua David Rodriguez is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

More Hispanics comitting crimes here in the area. I wonder if he's here Legally????? They just took a fugitive from El Salvador that had murdered in El Salvaldor, Mexico and here in the US from Galway Lane a while back and there have been many child molestations and attempted child abductions by Hispanics in this area as well over the past few years. I guarantee every single one of them are here Illegally like most all the others pouring over our unprotected borders everyday and becoming our neighbors in Boarding homes etc. with many having been criminals etc. in thier own countries before coming to the US to do the same.

"Joshua David"...sounds like an illegal immigrant. Not that there are not issues with illegal immigrants, but the ignorance in posts like these make me wonder how our country hasn't imploded under the hatred and errors of assumption. The guy is a scumbag, whether or not he is here illegally really isn't relevant. The increase in Latino crime (your assumption, not a fact as far as I am aware) would logically be explained purely by the increase in the population of that group in this area, one would think.

LOL well, i can assure he isnt here illegally seeing as he was born and raised in the US, as were his parents. I went to school with Josh. Hes just a dumb ass, young kid who made a mistake which im sure he will regret the rest of his life. I also wanted to point out that before writing a vulgar, and inappropriate post online, you check your spelling, and grammar. You make yourself look uneducated, and untrained.
