Teens Report Assault on Farrell Lane

Fredericksburg Police blotter over weekend.

 

Two teenagers were allegedly beaten by a trio of men on Farrell Lane early Sunday morning, according to Fredericksburg Police.

The incident happened at about 1:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Farrell Lane. Two 19-year-old males told police they were sitting on the hood of a car owned by one of their relatives when three men walked up to them and began punching them. The two teenagers fled from the men and when they returned the three suspects had shattered the windshield of the car and dented the hood, police reports show. The only description that the teenagers gave was that the men were all black, in their teens and all wearing basketball shorts.

The following crimes were reported in Monday's police log:

Larceny:

7-Eleven, 1240 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Aug. 10, 2:45 p.m. – 4 p.m. A resident reported that his debit card was stolen after he made a purchase at the store. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd., Saturday, 10:20 a.m. An employee reported that two inventory management devices were stolen from the store. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism:

100 block Wellington Lakes Drive, Aug. 10, 8:45 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person released the contents of the fire extinguisher into a stairwell. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI

2200 block Lafayette Boulevard, Sunday, 1 a.m. Officers responded to a single vehicle accident and found the driver of a gray Buick Regal with significant injuries to his face from impacting the windshield. The driver was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment. A warrant was obtained charging the driver, Sean Holland, 30, of Spotsylvania with felony DUI. Holland had not been arrested by the time of this report.
