Two Spotsylvania Residents Have Items Stolen While Swimming

Police took three larceny reports on Wednesday.

 

A Spotsylvania County resident who was cooling off from the hot heat Wednesday at the Fredericksburg Quarry reported that two suspects stole his backpack while he and his friends were swimming. The suspects left the scene in a white vehicle and they both appeared to be in their 20s. The incident happened at about 2 p.m.

At about 3 p.m. at Old Mill Park on Caroline Street, a Spotsylvania County resident told police that his cell phone was stolen from his backpack while he was swimming in the Rappahannock River. Police do not have any witnesses or suspects at this time.

A patron of Regal Cinemas at 3301 Plank Road told police that between 8:50 and 11:10 p.m. Wednesday someone broke the passenger side window of her vehicle and stole a bag that contained her cell phone and clothing. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
