Lunch at Hurkamp is getting a makeover!  Held Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in May, June and September since 1997, the summer concert series has grown into one of the community’s most popular events. Being renamed “Picnic in the Park” the series will be moved this summer down at the new Riverfront Park with beautiful views of the Rappahannock River. The Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Women’s Club is hosting the 60thAnnual Fredericksburg Fine Arts Exhibit starting this weekend, running from March 12-20. The show allows artists to compete in nine categories for cash prizes. Categories include acrylic, oil, drawing, watercolor, novice, 3-D sculpture, collage and mixed media and more.  The Fredericksburg Women’s Club, a service oriented volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare and enrichment of the community, started the show 60 years ago.
