More About James Monroe High School
Since 2006, James Monroe High School has served a student body of about 800 students. This is the third building that James Monroe High School has had since its founding in 1920. It is the only high school in the Frederick City Public School district and is named in honor of the fifth president of the United States, who maintained a law office in Fredericksburg in the 1780s. James Monroe High School is noted for its above-average academic performance, including ten advanced placement subjects, and strong athletic teams.
