The North Stafford Farmers Market (NS-FM) is pleased to announce its grand opening at the Stafford Hospital Medical Pavilion, located at 125 Hospital Center Blvd., on June 2nd from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. The farmers market will remain open every Sunday through the end of October.
The residents of Stafford County are welcoming the long-awaited NS-FM to embrace the opportunity to conveniently purchase fresh produce and other homemade products locally. The market will boost the Stafford’s economy and provide a healthy alternative for families.
NS-FM offers a broad range of products from 17 vendors, to include fresh, seasonal produce, honey, baked goods, ice cream, meats, dog treats and MUCH more! The market is 100 percent producer only, meaning that there will be no products that have been purchased elsewhere and are being resold. All products and produce are from within a 125-mile radius of Stafford County, guaranteeing freshness and a sense of pride in the local economy.

Vanessa Griffin, the Stafford County resident who spear-headed the NS-FM initiative, promises that the market will stimulate economic growth and foster a greater sense of community for local residents. “There has been an outpouring of support from local businesses and citizens who want to partner with the market to cross-promote and keep our tax dollars local," she said. "As Market Manager, I am excited to maximize on the opportunity to help others launch their own local businesses, as well as help current businesses grow.”
Many social organizations have also partnered with NS-FM to enhance the overall family atmosphere of the market. There will be monthly visits from the Central Rappahannock Regional Library, Virginia Master Gardener Program members, Fitness and Nutritional advisors, Stafford Hospital representatives, as well as other nonprofit organizations.
