Snow in the Forecast: Will It Impact Your Commute Monday?

Another snow day?! Here's the latest on the winter weather forecast.

Temperatures climb into the 50s Friday, and even higher this weekend, but it's not the end of winter just yet.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a sharp drop in temperatures Sunday and the return of snow into St. Patrick's Day.

The latest forecast for Northern Virginia is for rain to begin in the late afternoon on Sunday, turning into snow after 9 p.m. The snow keeps falling through Monday morning and into Monday afternoon before turning into a mix of rain and snow.

The forecast for Fredericksburg calls for more of a mix of rain and snow Sunday night, turning to snow in the overnight hours early Monday morning.

Between half an inch and three-quarters of an inch is forecasted Sunday night. It's too early for a Monday accumulation forecast from the NWS.
