Affordable Care Act Help at Mary Washington Healthcare

Ask questions of the federally-funded Patient Navigator who works at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) will host an Affordable Care Act (ACA) Patient Navigator meeting from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9.

Anyone may attend to better understand health insurance choices available through the new ACA.  "Individuals may ask questions, meet the federally-funded Patient Navigator who works at Mary Washington Hospital, and schedule appointments with the navigator for one-on-one help with registering for health coverage," Christine Amrhine, MWHC communications specialist, said

The information session will be held in the second floor Flick Conference Center in the Carl Silver Health Center, 1301 Sam Perry Blvd.

The event is free.  Registration is not required.  Refreshments will be served.

"The navigator is prepared to assist anyone – especially the uninsured and the underinsured – trying to understand health coverage options and to enroll in a qualified healthcare plan," Amrhine said.

In addition, the ACA Patient Navigator’s office, located in Patient Access near the atrium in Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd., is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  You may contact the ACA Patient Navigator at 540.741.2541 or by email at Heather.Trascapoulos@mwhc.com or VANavigator4@apallc.com.

U.S. citizens and other individuals legally present in the U.S. don’t have to be patients at Stafford Hospital, Mary Washington Hospital or any other Mary Washington Healthcare facility to seek the help of the patient navigator at Mary Washington Hospital.
