Freezing Rain Predicted Friday for Fredericksburg Area

Slippery conditions are expected during morning rush hour.

Friday morning's commuter could be a mess.

The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory from 3 - 9 a.m. Jan. 10.  "A freezing rain advisory means that periods of freezing rain or freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties," the NWS said.  "Be prepared for slippery roads.  Slow down and use caution while driving."

The advisory applies to the entire D.C. metropolitan area and the Interstate 95 corridor, including Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Stafford.
