Closures and Delays, Day Two

Weather related closings and delays in the Fredericksburg area for Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013.

Due to the weather conditions, the following closures and delays were announced for Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in the Fredericksburg area.

Please refer to the comments section following the article for updates throughout the day Tuesday.  Thank you. -susan

  • Fredericksburg Academy is closed.
  • Fredericksburg Christian Schools are closed.
  • Fredericksburg City Schools will be closed. Code Red for staff.
  • Fredericksburg Learning Enhancement is closed  The Marshall School is closed and tutoring sessions are cancelled.
  • Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation programs and classes are cancelled.
  • Germanna Community College is closed at all locations.
  • Holy Cross Academy and St. Mary Preschool are closed.
  • Lighthouse Academy of Fredericksburg is closed.
  • MCB Quantico is operating on code yellow status.  The base will open on time. Reasonable delays for reporting to work are excused. Unscheduled leave is authorized. Personnel should contact their chain of command for specific command/activity guidance or direction. DoD schools aboard Quantico will remain closed.
  • Odyssey Montessori of Fredericksburg is closed.
  • Saint Michael the Archangel High School is closed.
  • Spotsylvania County Public Schools are closed.  Code one for 12-month staff.
  • Stafford County Public Schools are closed. Code one for employees.  All schools and offices are closed.
  • St. Patricks School is closed.
  • The Rowan School of Fredericksburg is closed.
  • University of Mary Washington will open at 10 a.m.  The exam schedule has been revised.
  • Virginia Railway Express (VRE) will operate an "S" schedule.  Only trains with "S" above the train numbers will operate. 
  • The Federal Government is closed today.
