Easter Egg Hunts In and Near Fredericksburg

With Easter soon upon us, there are many choices for local Easter Egg hunts this first weekend of Spring.

  • When: Daily through March 28; times are flexible, but advance reservations are required.
  • Where: Historic Kenmore, 1201 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg 
  • Why Go: One-hour programs for groups of 10 or more offer a story in the Kenmore dining room, crafts in the Kenmore basement and an Easter Egg hunt on the grounds
  • Cost: $10 per child with a minimum of 10 children.  Call Vickie Hayes at (540) 370-0732 x24 to make reservations for your group.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

  • When: Friday, March 22, 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: Memorial (Kenmore) Park
  • Why Go: For kids in the 4th – 6th grade, find eggs by the light of your flashlight. 
  • Price: $4, registration required at Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation        540-372-1086

Fredericksburg Parks and Rec Easter Bunny Breakfast

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
  • Where: Dorothy Hart Community Center
  • Why Go: Easter story, craft, breakfast and a visit with the Easter Bunny.
  • Price: $5.  Ages 2 - 5 only.

Minnieland Academy's Eggstravaganza

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Where: Minnieland Academy at Salem Library
  • Why Go: Dye eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, participate in an egg hunt, play games and more.

Eggsplosion Easter Event

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Where: Curtis Memorial Park, Stafford
  • Why Go: Kids will enjoy an egg hunt, inflatables, pony rides and a magic show throughout the day. 
  • Price: $8, presale; $10, at the gate.

Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Memorial (Kenmore) Park
  • Why Go: Meet the Easter Bunny and find some eggs this Saturday. For children in 3rd grade and younger. 
  • Price: FREE

Belmont’s Beeping Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 1 – 3 p.m.
  • Where: Gari Melcher’s Home and Studio at Belmont
  • Why Go: An Easter egg hunt, crafts and tours for the blind or visually impaired and their families. The day will include an audible Easter egg hunt and tactile tour of the museum.
  • Price: FREE

The Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation Department
1st Annual Dog Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: Saturday, March 23, 1:30 - 2:45 p.m.
  • Where: Memorial (Kenmore) Park
  • Half of the registration proceeds go directly to the Fredericksburg SPCA.
  • Price: $5 for two dogs to join in the fun!  Registration accepted on site.

Community Egg Hunt

  • When: Sunday, March 24, 12:30 p.m.
  • Where: Hillcrest United Methodist Church
  • Why Go: Games for youth, food for all and more than 1,000 eggs to hunt!
  • Cost: FREE

Spring Forward Festival

  • When: Sunday, March 24, 1 – 4 p.m.
  • Where: Brompton - 704 Sunken Road
  • Why Go: Welcome spring with season-themed crafts, an egg hunt, games and more. 
  • Price: FREE

Children's Easter Party

  • When: Sunday, March 24, 2 - 4 p.m.
  • Where: Tabernacle United Methodist Church
  • Why Go: Bring a child friendly dish to share.  Enjoy a meal as the kids hunt for eggs.
  • Cost: FREE

Preschool Egg Hunt

  • When: Monday, March 25, 11 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Rowser Complex  1739 Jefferson Davis Hwy.,  Stafford
  • Why Go: Children age 5 and under (only) join the Easter Bunny in hunting for eggs. The event will be held indoors in the event of rain.
  • Cost: $3  Pre-register at Stafford County Parks and Rec.
