Great Escape: Classy Cinema

Somehow you've managed to finagle a Friday night out. How? Who knows. Perhaps, the grandparents are coming to visit. Do they really want to spend time with you or the kids? Probably both. But you pawn the kids off on the in-laws and dash out the door. Quick, now you have a few kid-free free hours. Take the time. It's yours. 

I'd like to introduce you to a new regular feature here on Patch called Great Escape, a single idea for a night out away from the tribulations of parenting. Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, perhaps more enjoyable. 

We'll start off easy: Classy Cinema.

Escape from the tribulations of parenting with a movie experience at The Premier ~ Upstairs at Muvico Village 12 in Spotsylvania Towne Center. 

The Premier Level is like a movie theater designed for adults. The 21 and up environment offers reserved seating, oversized love seats, complimentary valet parking, free popcorn and access to the private Chatterbox Lounge. We can even order an adult beverage and light fare while watching the show.

This is no doubt the theater industry's ploy to rescue itself from declining box office sales in the age of the flat-screen home theater, but it's a good ploy at that.
