Lose Big, Win Big- Weight Loss Challenge

Are you searching for a weight loss challenge that stretches you to make a lifestyle change that will last?  Lose Big Win Big is just for you! 

Once again, Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is offering this great weight loss opportunity to individuals, with an added new twist of business to business competition.

Come to Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 3 – 8 p.m. for your private weigh-in.  At the end of 15 weeks, we will have another weigh-in to determine the winners.  Weight loss will be calculated on percentage of weight loss, not actual pounds.

Radiation Treatment Options for Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer remains the most common form of cancer affecting men.  Deciding on the treatment of this disease can be difficult and should be considered carefully.  Michael S. Porrazzo, M.D., serves as director of radiation oncology at Spotsylvania Regional Cancer Center and will be addressing the radiation treatment options for prostate cancer.  You will also have an opportunity to ask-the-doc questions that are important to your understanding of the radiation treatments available today.

Stay Heart Healthy / Heart Disease in Women

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and is more deadly than all forms of cancer.  February is Women’s Heart Health Month.  Dr. Brian Josephs will be discussing this most important topic and share facts about heart disease and dispel some myths.  He will share symptoms to look out for and provide news updates about heart disease and how it affects women.
