NWS Issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Fredericksburg

Here's part of a bulletin from the NWS issued Wednesday:

AT 639 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 8 MILES SOUTH OF MADISON TO 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MASSAPONAX...MOVING NORTH AT 25 MPH. LOCATIONS THAT LIKELY WILL BE IMPACTED INCLUDE MADISON... MASSAPONAX...CULPEPER...STAFFORD AND SPERRYVILLE. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. MOVE INDOORS IMMEDIATELY FOR YOUR SAFETY. IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER... YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. HEAVY RAIN WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO BELOW ONE MILE AND CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL UP TO ONE INCH CAN BE EXPECTED.
