Schools Announce Plans Ahead of Tuesday's Arctic Blast
Below zero wind chills expected Tuesday.
Due to the severe cold weather expected to reach the Fredericksburg region overnight, area schools announced their plans for Tuesday classes at close of day Monday.
Fredericksburg City Schools will be closed Jan. 7. This is a change from an earlier announcement. Twelve-month employees will have a two hour delay.
Spotsylvania County Public Schools will be closed. Code 2 is in effect for 12 month employees.
Stafford County Public Schools will be closed. Employees will be on Code 2. Liberal leave is in effect. Administrative offices will open at 10 a.m.
