The Centerfolds of Hazelwild

Horse calendar benefits Hazelwild Farm's Therapeutic Riding Program.

Hazelwild Farm's Therapeutic Riding Program is raising money with a centerfolds calendar.  The featured beauties all have four hooves.

Instructor Kristie Torline photograped Hazelwild's school horses to create "The Horses of Hazelwild" calendar.

Hazelwild Farm's Therapeutic Riding Program offers specialized horseback riding lessons for all ages of riders with a wide range of physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. "The lessons serve therapeutic purposes by increasing stability, flexibility, strength, motor skills, cognitive ability and confidence for the riders, along with providing many other physical and emotional benefits," Torline said.

Torline is certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH International).   She runs the Hazelwild program with volunteers, many of whom are University of Mary Washington students.

The calendar costs $10 and is available at Bits and Pearls Equestrian Tack Boutique, 5325 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg.  The calendar's cover photo of Hazelwild's pond was taken by Tricia Hope Photography.
