Winter Weather Advisory for Fredericksburg Region

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory from 8 a.m. Sunday through 7 a.m. Monday. 

Areas west of I-95 are warned of wintry precipitation changing to freezing rain by Sunday afternoon, with significant ice accumulations probable Sunday night.

Areas along and east of I-95 can expect wintry precipation changing over to freezing rain Sunday afternoon.

Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch is possible, the NWS said.  Hazardous travel conditions and power outages are possible, due to ice.

Rain is expected Monday. The high will be near 44..
