Pirates and Birds Beckon at Motts Run This Weekend

Two great nature programs happening this Saturday at Motts Run Nature Center!

Pirate Canoe Voyage

Have a love for all things pirate?  If so, then sail on down to Motts for an exciting voyage out on the canoes. We'll find some hidden treasure and much more as we paddle along the beautiful lakeshore. Each scalawag will need only one non-paying adult to paddle with them. Event runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Motts Run Reservoir, Saturday, April 30, for ages 6-9. $10 registration fee.

Please register at the Dorothy Hart Community Center located at 408 Canal St.

Bring your binoculars and field guides (we do have some for borrowing) to Motts Run Reservoir for a peek at our spring birds.  We'll check the nesting boxes and other secret spots for chickadees, bluebirds, phoebes and others, then hike the shoreline and woodland trail in search of woodpeckers, cardinals and more!  Great for beginners and the experienced birder alike.  Meet at the Motts Run Nature Center.  For adults and families (minimum age 10 - all must pay). Registration required – registration forms available at the Dorothy Hart Community Center.
