What's Open, What's Closed Labor Day Weekend in Fredericksburg

Labor Day is right around the corner on Monday, Sept. 2. Check the list below to see what is open or closed in observance of the holiday. 

From the City of Fredericksburg: 

City of Fredericksburg government offices will be closed. 

 Trash will not be collected Monday: 
  • Monday’s trash will be picked up Tuesday. 
  • Tuesday’s trash will be picked up Wednesday. 
  • Both Monday and Tuesday recycling will be picked up Tuesday. 
  • Wednesday through Friday, all collections will proceed as usual.
  • The Belman Road Recycling Center and the Stafford Landfill will be closed Monday. Both will resume normal operations Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
The Fredericksburg visitors center will be open on Labor Day. 

From Stafford County:

The Regional Landfill on Eskimo Hill Road will be closed Sept. 2, but will resume normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 3. 

The Circuit Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and General District Court in Stafford will also be closed on Sept. 2. 

Stafford County government offices, departments and facilities will be closed Sept. 2. 

Stafford County Schools will be closed Sept. 2. 

From Spotsyvlania County:

County government offices will be closed Sept. 2. 

 Livingston landfill and all county convenience centers will be closed Sept. 2. 
County parks and Loriella Park Pool will be open Sept. 2 with normal hours of operation. 

 Spotsylvania County Schools will be closed Sept. 2.
