A fun and educational class for children ages 8-12 (children less than 8 years by permission of instructor).
They'll learn folk and tribal steps; dance with tambourines, scarves, or veils; explore cultural traditions and music. Coloring pictures to take home!
Anthea "Kawakib" is a mother of three and enjoys teaching children about the art of belly dance.
Sign up early through Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation, 408 Canal Street. Registration fee covers rental use of musical instruments and/or props materials. Parent or guardian must stay on site during class.
