Upcoming Events at Ferry Farm

George Washington's boyhood home is just east of Fredericksburg on Rt. 3.

Ferry Farm was George Washington's boyhood home, so named because residents of Stafford County took a ferry from the farm to reach Fredericksburg.

The historic site is open to the public for tours and also features special events.  Ferry Farm, operated by the George Washington Foundation, is located at 268 Kings Hwy., Fredericksburg.

Events this fall include:

Home School Day at Ferry Farm
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Day
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2 p.m.

Gingerbread House Workshops
Saturday, Nov, 2,  10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1:30 - 3 p.m.

27th Annual Gingerbread House Contest and Exhibit
December 8 - 30

Gingerbread Preschool Group Workshops
Weekdays, December 9 - 20
