What: Twelve Drummers Drumming: The Twelfth Day of Christmas
Where: George Washington Birthplace National Monument, 1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach
When: Saturday, Jan. 5, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Details: Free. Costumed volunteers and staff members will host a Christmas party much like the Washington family might have done in the 1730s. 804-224-1732

What: The 11th Annual Greater Virginia Bridal Show
Where: Fredericksburg Hospitality House, 2801 Plank Road, Fredericksburg When: Sunday, Jan. 6, 1 - 4 p.m.
Details: Admission is $7. Virginia Bride Magazine and Fredericksburg businesses will be giving away a $35,000 wedding.
