ATHIO Technologies Founder Elected Fredericksburg Jaycees President

Joshua Ellis also recently graduated from the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Disabled Veterans.

ATHIO Technologies founder and President Joshua Ellis has received four honors to start the new year.

Ellis graduated from Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Disabled Veterans (EBV), a veteran-founded program offering experiential training in small business management to post-9/11 veterans with disabilities.  Ellis served in the Army’s storied 101st Airborne Division and took part in the invasion of Iraq.

EBV was featured with praise on 60 Minutes.

When he graduated from EBV at the University of Connecticut’s Business School in October 2013, Ellis also received the award for “Outstanding Venture Pitch.”  That was the second honor.

Then in December Ellis' company received a $13,000 business incentive grant from the Spotsylvania County Economic Development Authority.  The grant will be used to purchase a demonstration model of the MondoPad from InFocus and to expand the company's cloud services offerings, Ellis said.

Capping off the string of honors, Ellis was elected president of the Fredericksburg Jaycees for 2014.

“We've had an incredible three months at ATHIO," Ellis said.  “We’re a business founded on ethics with a mission to hire, train and employ disabled veterans so we can give back to the community we serve.  These honors help us continue to pursue those goals.”

ATHIO Technologies is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides custom solutions in Information Technology (IT), videoconferencing, distributed audio, digital signage, and VoIP phone systems to commercial/small-medium business (SMB) and government clients.
