December 'Good Month' For Fredericksburg Real Estate Market
Fredericksburg had a 20 percent increase in the number of homes sold in December over what was sold in November.
The average sale price for real estate in Fredericksburg in December increased 10 percent from the same time last year to $275,352.

There were 19 closed sales for the month and the median sold price was $270,879. Real estate did stay on the market longer, at 82 days, which was about 11 percent longer than the same time last year and 15.5 percent longer than in November. But there was a 20-percent increase in the number of sold homes in December over what was sold in November.

"Inventory is still extremely low with only 89 homes on the market for sale," Jacobs said.
