The most recent restaurants inspections in the Fredericksburg area.

Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) officials recently inspected food preparation and storage in Spotsylvania County (none in Fredericksburg this week). Full reports can be accessed on the health department's website.

A "critical violation" is one that "poses a direct or immediate threat to the safety of the food being served."

"In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations," according to Virginia Department of Health's website.

The site continues: "Keep in mind that any inspection report is a 'snapshot' of the day and time of the inspection. On any given day, a restaurant could have fewer or more violations than noted in the report. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment."

Behind Closed Doors! I would urge all diners to boycott any and all restaurants whose butter comes from a factory and not a cow. The only naysayers are physicians who want to sell and hook you on costly anti-cholesterol medicine. BUTTER has all the benefits including vitamins A, D, K2, E, iodine, and selenium. Further the fatty acids in butter have anti-tumor effects, which can help prevent cancer. In addition to proteching against calcification of joints (arthritis), preventing osteoporosis through Vitamin A, D, and K2, its saturated fats are critical to lung function (asthma), and helps control weight gain through short and medium chain fatty acids contained in butter. My own investigation has turned up a surprising number of upscale chain restaurants who are using Stupid Balance as a butter substitute. Know what you're getting.
