Family Table Restaurant Week in Fredericksburg

The third annual event Aug. 3 - 11 features produce from local farms and week-long special menu items from participating restaurants.

Eleven downtown Fredericksburg restaurants are participating in the 2013 Family Table Restaurant Week, which features produce from local farms.  The third annual summer event is scheduled August 3 - 11.

Participating restaurants will feature special kid’s meals nightly from 5 - 6:30 p.m. and a ‘two-for-twenty’ adult menu where diners can select two courses for only $20.  "Family Table is a great way to introduce children to the importance of supporting our local farmers and their fresh fruit and vegetables," Parks & Rec spokesperson Tiffany Capehart said.

Kick-off for the week of dining specials will be held 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday in Hurkamp Park at the First Saturday Expanded Farmers Market.
