Learn to carve wood with Louisa County Parks and Recreation

Louisa County Parks and Recreation and Instructor Kathy Overcash will present two classes for beginners to advanced wood carvers. No tools needed - Instructor will supply.  The first class is held on February 1st and 8th and the second class is April 5 and April 12. All classes are 9AM to Noon.

Class 1 (February) is carving a caricature of a hound dog from basswood.  A $15 cost includes all materials and loan of tools.

Class 2 (April) is carving a whimsical house from cottonwood bark.  The $20 fee includes materials and loaner tools.

Classes are open to all adults and older (16+) teens.  You do not need to reside in Louisa County. For more info or to register:
