All Lanes of I-95 Southbound at Exit 133 Now Open

Detour is lifted, but congestion begins 10 miles before incident scene.

FREDERICKSBURG – Interstate 95 southbound has re-opened at Exit 133/Falmouth in Stafford County following an earlier crash, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reported.

Congestion is beginning to clear, but starts approximately 10 miles north of Exit 133 in North Stafford and southern Prince William. Motorists may encounter delays on southbound I-95 and southbound Route 1 in these areas as congestion clears the scene.

The Safety Rest Area and Welcome Center at Fredericksburg on I-95 southbound has been closed temporarily, while vehicles involved in the earlier crash are moved to this facility. An update will be sent when the rest area and welcome center re-opens. The next rest area on southbound I-95 is located at mile marker 108 in Ladysmith.
