UPDATED: Fredericksburg Closings and Cancellations

The following is a list of cancellations and closings in alphabetical order.  It was last updated at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday:

Tuesday, Oct. 30, Closures, Cancellations and Delays:

Amtrak Northeast Corridor service is canceled on Tuesday.

Cornerstone Preschool of Fredericksburg is closed on Tuesday.

Federal Offices in the D.C. metro area are closed Tuesday.

First Christian School is closed Tuesday.  All church activities are canceled.

Fredericksburg Academy is closed Tuesday.

Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours canceled Tuesday, and the Military Affairs Council's planned Nov. 1 event at Marine Corps Base Quantico has been canceled due to the storm.

Fredericksburg Christian School is closed Tuesday.

Fredericksburg City Offices are OPEN on Tuesday.

Fredericksburg City Schools will be closed Tuesday. Code Red for employees.

Fredericksburg Field House is closed Tuesday.

Fredericksburg Health Department is closed Tuesday.

Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation has canceled all activities for Tuesday. Old Mill, Dixon, Alum Spring, Motts and the Dog Parks will all remain closed on Tuesday.

FREDericksburg Regional Transit (FRED) will be open Tuesday and will run a regular schedule with the exception of the VRE feeder service and the D6 which are cancelled.

Fredericksburg trash and recycling service is cancelled for Tuesday and rescheduled for Wednesday.  Expect trash service to be somewhat delayed, once it resumes on Wednesday.

Fredericksburg Visitor Center is closed Tuesday.

Germanna Community College is closed Tuesday.

Mary Washington Eye Care Center’s Trunk Show is canceled Tuesday, but will be rescheduled.

Odyssey Montessori is closed on Tuesday.

Quantico Marine Corp Base is closed on Tuesday.

Quick's Bus Service is cancelled on Tuesday.

Rappahannock Regional Library is closed Tuesday.

South Stafford Christian School is closed on Tuesday.

Spotsylvania County Public Schools are closed Tuesday.

Spotsylvania General District Court and Juvenile & Domestic Court are closed on Tuesday.

Stafford County Courts are closed Tuesday.

Stafford County Public Schools are closed Tuesday; staff are on Code 1.

University of Mary Washington is now closed all day on Tuesday.

Virginia Railway Express (VRE) service is canceled for Tuesday.  In addition, Fredericksburg Alert said there is no VRE feeder bus service and no D6 a.m. or p.m. on Tuesday.

Monday, Oct. 29, Closures and Cancellations:

Amtrak Northeast Corridor service is canceled Monday.

Blake Farm Day School is closed Monday.

Boys & Girls Club Fredericksburg Branch is closed Monday.

Bragg Hill Family Life Center is closed Monday.

Career Training Solutions is closed Monday.

Caroline County schools will be closed Monday. All school and non-school activities, day and evening, are canceled. Essential employees should report to work, if possible.

City of Fredericksburg offices are closed Monday.  Essential personnel must report as scheduled.

Colonial Beach Schools are closed Monday.

Congressional District 1 Debate: Dr. Stephen Farnsworth said the debate at UMW tomorrow for the 1st Congressional district has been canceled. 

Culpeper County Public Schools are closed Monday.

Federal Offices in the D.C. metro area are closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Academy is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Baptist Pre-School is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Christian School is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg City Public Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Code Red for employees.

Fredericksburg General District Court is OPEN on Monday.

Fredericksburg Health Department is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Field House is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Fredericksburg Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court is closed Monday.

Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation has canceled all activities for Monday and Tuesday.  The dog park is closed.

FREDericksburg Regional Transit Buses will not run on Monday.

Fredericksburg Visitor Center is closed Monday.

Germanna Community College announced all locations are closed Monday and Tuesday.

Great Play Fredericksburg is closed, and Monday's Halloween Party is canceled.

King George County Schools are closed Monday and Tuesday. 

Marshall Center Senior Center in Spotsylvania is closed Monday.

are all canceled Monday.

Northern Neck Elks Lodge Monday night Bingo is canceled.

Peace Christian Pre-School is closed Monday.

Quick's Bus Service is canceled Monday.

Rappahannock Community Services Board is closed Monday.

Rappahannock United Way is closed Monday.

South Stafford Christian School is closed Monday.

Spotsylvania County Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Employees will be on Code 1. 

Spotsylvania Health Department is closed Monday.

St. Michael High School is closed Monday.

St. William of York Catholic School is closed Monday.

Stafford County Public Schools are closed Monday and Tuesday on a Code 0 for employees. All schools are closed. All school and non-school activities, day and evening, are canceled. 

Stafford KinderCare is closed Monday.

Star Youth Academy is closed.

University of Mary Washington has cancelled all classes for Monday and through noon on Tuesday. A decision about Tuesday afternoon classes will be made by 8 a.m. Tuesday. 

  "All administrative and staff offices will be closed and all activities have been canceled," said an alert on the school's website. "Designated essential personnel should report at their regular times. Please monitor the University’s website at umw.edu or call the Information Hotline at 540-654-2424 for further announcements."

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is closed at all locations on Monday.

Virginia Department of Transportation: VDOT has postponed the Fredericksburg District Transportation Multi-modal, Six-Year Improvement Program Meeting scheduled for Monday at Massaponax High School in Spotsylvania County. VDOT said they will announce the new meeting date at a later time.
