Local Houses Could Net $100K For Fredericksburg Schools

One Fredericksburg family has entered their decorated house in hopes of winning $100K for City of Fredericksburg Public Schools and up to $500 toward their December electricity bill.

Here's what YOU can do to better Fredericksburg's chances:

• Enter your house in the second annual Patch Deck the House Contest.
• Tell a friend to nominate THEIR house.
• Vote for Fredericksburg's best decorated house.

The deadline is 8 p.m. Dec. 16.

From the Dec. 16 deadline through 12:01 p.m. Dec. 18, Patch judges will choose 24 finalists from Patch communities all over the country.

Those 24 finalists will compete in the national voting round, which runs 12:01 p.m. Dec. 18 through 12:01 p.m. Dec. 27.  These finalists will be posted on Fredericksburg Patch and you'll be invited to vote.

One Grand Prize Winner will earn $100,000 for their town's public schools.

The 24 national finalists will win a free December electric bill, up to $500.
