VDOT: Fredericksburg Area Traffic Alerts

The following traffic alerts were issued by the Virginia Department of Transportation: 

Route 1, Thursday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Crew will mill and pave on Route 1 from Route 607 to just north of Route 608. North and southbound motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone. VDOT said work should be completed Thursday night. 

Thursday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Crews will repair and/or replace guardrail at various locations on north and southbound Interstate 95 between the Hanover/Caroline C.L. and I-395. This is a mobile operation and one lane will be closed in the work zone.

Thursday, 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Crews will continue to mill and pave on I-95 north from just north of Exit 130 (Rt. 3/Fredericksburg) to Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth). One lane will be closed in the work zone. Expect delays.

Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Motorists will be restricted to one lane on the Harry Nice Bridge located on Route 301 bridge. The Maryland Transportation Authority will be conducting routine bridge inspections. The inspections are expected to continue through November.
