Halloween Ghost Carriage Tour

  • Where: 706 Caroline St., Fredericksburg
  • When: Friday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 20, 5 p.m.
  • Why Go: Experience the ghostly legends of old town Fredericksburg in a unique way!
  • Price: $15 per adult and $7 per child.

Friday Night Wine Tasting

  • Where: The Virginia Wine Experience
  • When: Friday, Oct. 19, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: New wine is featured each week, with the bottle sold at a discounted price

Campout in the Park

  • Where: Motts Run Reservoir Picnic Area
  • When: Friday, Oct. 19, 5 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy the outdoors with your family this weekend with a campfire, night hike and stargazing - complete with s’mores for all.
  • Price: $60 for family of five, $15 for individuals.

Creepy Crawly Carnival

  • Where: Ron Rosner Family YMCA
  • When: Friday, Oct. 19, 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 20, 7 - 9 p.m.
  • Why Go: Get in the spirit of Halloween with a haunted house, hayride, monsters, ghouls and zombies at this creepy carnival.
  • Price: Carnival: $3, Haunted House: $3, Hayride: $3.

Stafford County Fair

  • Where: Mountain View High School
  • When: Friday, Oct. 19, 5 - 10 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: Rides, food, fun and entertainment are all a recipe for a great weekend at the fair
  • Price: FREE admission and FREE parking. $10 pre-sale tickets for unlimited rides (ends 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19), $20 at the ticket booth for unlimited rides.

Fall Rappahannock River Cleanup

  • Where: Old Mill Park
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 20, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: Help keep our river and land clean by participating in this morning cleanup of trash and debris. Supplies and lunch will be provided, and trucks are needed.
  • Price: FREE, but register to help calculate the amount of supplies and lunches needed.

8th Annual Wings and Wheels Festival and Air Show

  • Where: Stafford Regional Airport
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: See professional aerobatic performers, along with a car show, fly-in, food and crafts. All proceeds benefit community organizations and programs.
  • Price: FREE admission, but donations are suggested.  Sponsored by Stafford Rotary Club.  Proceeds will benefit community organizations and programs.

Light the Night Walk

  • Where: Hurkamp Park
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 20, 5 p.m.
  • Why Go: Walk to help raise money towards a cure for leukemia and lymphoma. Each participant holds an illuminated balloon during the night walk.
  • Price: FREE, registration required.

7th Annual Fredericksburg Fall Home Show

  • Where: Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: View beautiful displays and learn how to best decorate your home for the fall, as well as learn how to match the right wines and beers with fall foods.
  • Price: $8, Children 12 and under are FREE. Tickets are good all weekend.  Visit Wegman's for a $2 off admission coupon, or obtain one online.
