Cancellations and Closings:  An alphabetical list of March 6 delays, closings and cancellations affecting Fredericksburg area residents is available here.

Radar: The latest weather radar from the National Weather Service shows storm clouds heading toward the region. The worst of the snow will be overnight as temperatures cool.

Power: With predictions of wet, heavy snow in the forecast, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) crews are preparing for power outages. 

Driving: The Virginia State Police has tips for driving in winter weather. Top of the list is to drive for conditions: slow down in inclement weather.  VDOT crews began 24-hour emergency operations at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Fredericksburg area. 

Flying: Travelers should plan for flight delays. Weather in and around Chicago is affecting flights from Reagan, Dulles and BWI airports. Specifically, the Federal Aviation Administration is reporting delays at Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports, Milwaukee and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
